Qualifications

DouxProcess works inside the systems of licensed commercial insurance agencies. We take on a small number of agencies, and we choose them for the quality of their book and the discipline of their office. An agency must meet every requirement below before it is onboarded, and must keep meeting them while it is a customer.
1. A clean record
- Agency E&O history. Currently valued errors-and-omissions loss runs for every year the agency has operated, showing no paid claims and no open claims or suits.
- The principal's history. The principal producer must show five years with no paid and no open E&O claims, including time at a prior agency. A claim that was reported and closed without payment is reviewed with a written explanation.
- Book loss ratio. Carrier loss-ratio reports showing a three-year average loss ratio at or below 55% across the agency's commercial book.
- Regulatory standing. No license revocation, suspension or disciplinary action against the agency or any principal in the last five years.
2. A real book
- At least $1,000,000 in annual commercial premium in force, across any lines.
- At least one year in business under the current agency license.
3. Licensed oversight
- At least one licensed producer working in the agency. A single-agent office qualifies.
- A licensed person reviews and approves every binding decision, every coverage statement and every client communication that the service prepares.
4. Insurance and controls
- Agency errors-and-omissions coverage in force, with limits of at least $1,000,000 per claim and $2,000,000 aggregate, plus cyber coverage.
- An active agency license, and carrier appointments for the business the agency transacts.
- A signed customer agreement and data processing agreement before any access is granted.
5. What we ask for
- Agency E&O loss runs (all years) and the principal's prior E&O loss runs (five years).
- Carrier loss-ratio or production reports for the last three years.
- Current declarations pages for E&O and cyber.
- Agency license number, and the name and license number of each licensed producer.
6. Staying qualified
We confirm every requirement again each year. We also confirm them when the agency changes ownership, when its E&O coverage changes, or when a claim or regulatory action is filed. If an agency stops meeting a requirement, we may suspend access until it meets it again.
Meeting these requirements does not guarantee acceptance. Questions: admin@getdoux.com
